Biography :
Artep was created by Petra Sobotka in 2005 as a solo black metal project. The first album/ demo called 'Fires of Mortal Deception' was released in 2007 on a pro CD.
Immediately after the release she found session members to play local shows. In 2009 Petra met Chris of Spire audio, a composer who agreed to help with the re-orchestration of the project.
The symphonic promo mCD 'Black War' was released in November 2008, receiving very positive reviews and world wide metal radio play.
On October 13, 2009 Artep signs with Bleak Art Records and shortly after the first full length album 'Thy Will Be Done On Earth As Is Done In Hell' a continuation of the 'Black War' promotional material was released.
In 2011 with the help of Vince, owner of Creepy Six Films, Artep released the first professional music video 'Antichrist' which is also sent to Much Music.
There have been many member changes, but the core of the band remains solid no matter what and is here to stay.
